Amsler Grid

Purpose:

To detect any NEW changes in your vision

Instructions:

1)    Place the Amsler grid in a well lit area at a comfortable reading distance (14 inches).

2)   Wearing your glasses (if you wear glasses) check each eye individually.

3)   Stare at the center dot and ask yourself the following questions:

        Can I see the center dot?

        Are there any NEW blank or dark spots within the grid?

        Are there any NEW distortions or waviness of the lines?

        Are all four corners present?

IF THERE ARE ANY NEW CHANGES IN THE GRID,
YOU SHOULD NOTIFY YOUR EYE CARE SPECIALIST IMMEDIATELY.
